When Jesus came, He revealed God’s wonderful love for the world (John 3:16). If we’ve put our trust in Jesus, we are held securely in His love. And because we are His followers, our lives should be centered around loving God and loving others (Matthew 22:37-40). Why do you think love is so important to God? • Have you ever made an attempt to live in a more loving way? While this is a great thing to do, it’s important to remember that we can’t do it in our own strength and wisdom. Jesus said, “Apart from me you can do nothing.” And so He calls us to remain in His love (John 15:4-5, 9). How might resting in Jesus’s love for us help us act lovingly toward others? And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:14 (NIV)
